Ambulatory Color Palette

Restoration experts have created color samples to help determine the appropriate decorative finish for the arches along the side ambulatory. The samples explore different combinations of color and tone for the painted surfaces surrounding the ornate architectural details, including the carved and gilded ornamentation. The team is reviewing the samples to identify the palette that best reflects the historic character of The Basilica while complementing the restored decorative elements.
